Elizabeth Arden has teamed up with Sparrow Society to bring you a truly Proudly South African made GWP!
The parnership has been brewing since Sparrow Society’s founder, Kate Senekal, was awarded with the Elizabeth Arden Make a Visible Difference Community Hero Award in 2015. They loved the idea of a locally, ethically made bag to don their incredible products for the GWP (gift with purchase) promotional campaign that they run every year. Most cosmetic brands order their bags overseas with no way to check up on fair labour practices. A big thumbs up to the Elizabeth Arden team for going the extra mile and making sure their bags are ethically made and contribute towards the local economy.
Because of this partnership, Sparrow Society has been able to grow from just 3 employees to 25! We were also able to launch our “Creative Entrepreneur Business Course” for all of these seamstresses to give them the training, experience and network that they need to reach their creative dreams.
Thank you so much Elizabeth Arden SA for joining us in our mission to “Change the world one really cool product at a time”.
Because of you, we are one step closer to bringing manufacturing back to South Africa!
